Challenge
Each production site had developed its own systems, reporting methods, and performance metrics, making it difficult to compare results and identify improvement opportunities across the organization. The customer needed a scalable way to collect, structure, and analyze operational data while creating better visibility into production efficiency, energy consumption, and maintenance performance.
Context
A global food producer with multiple manufacturing sites wanted to create a more consistent and data-driven approach to performance management across its production network. The ambition was to establish a common foundation for measuring, comparing, and improving operational performance while supporting energy optimization and more efficient production.
What we did
TechSeed implemented a common analytics platform that connected machine and production data across multiple sites. We helped define standardized KPI structures for metrics such as OEE and energy usage, introduced event-driven data collection, and established a scalable analytics foundation that enabled consistent reporting and benchmarking across factories.
Result
The customer gained a unified view of operational performance across its production network. This improved the ability to compare sites, identify inefficiencies, prioritize improvement initiatives, and support more informed decision-making. Enhanced visibility into production and energy data also created better conditions for optimization and more proactive maintenance planning.
