Challenge
The MES environment is mission-critical and must operate 24/7 with minimal disruption. Over time, integrations, legacy components, and changing production requirements created a need for structured lifecycle management to ensure stable operations while continuously improving functionality, data quality, and the ability to turn production data into actionable insights.
Context
A global pulp and paper producer operates a highly customized MES platform and supporting systems used to manage and monitor production across multiple lines. TechSeed has been the customer’s long-term partner, ensuring that the platform remains reliable, secure, and aligned with evolving operational requirements.
What we did
TechSeed took long-term responsibility for operating, supporting, and continuously improving an established, highly customized MES platform and its surrounding support systems. We ensured stable 24/7 operations, maintained and evolved IT/OT integrations, and strengthened production monitoring and reporting so that production data could be trusted and transformed into actionable insights.
Result
The MES environment continued to deliver high availability while being continuously expanded with new capabilities requested by the business. TechSeed enabled a steady pace of improvements through enhanced reporting and monitoring, improved data quality, and additional integrations, without disrupting production execution. This supported more consistent and data-driven decision-making across operations.
